Watching a silly Bar Mitzvah video of a Boy named Zachary in Washington D.C. may seem like a waste of time but I can totally justify the five minutes. If you have never seen someone come out to their parents than this is your chance! It’s an anthem for all young gay kids. Lines such as “Don’t tell me I should act like you, or do the same as others do” are standard affair in a gay anthem. However, he has even more fabulous lines such as, “You can take it from me: Unique, très chic, the peak of fabulousity.” I think he could give Lady Gaga a run for her money someday.
Even he makes a point to say he doesn’t like his mother’s caserole but instead would prefer a hotdog while he goes down on a hotdog.
Zachary, the next few years are going to be rough. So, you need to remember you are the peak of fabulousity!
I truly enjoy dissecting the lyrics to pop culture songs. They often don’t make sense and are far more tragic then the poppy beat would lead you to believe. While searching for covers of “Do it Like a Dude” by Jessie J I came across GloZell. She is a woman of my own heart. She “translates” popular songs lyrics. The video I posted below is far and away her most viewed video, but she has many other translations that are worth watching, especially the ones about Bruno Mars.
